Koloma Announces International Expansion into Australia
Denver, Colorado – February 18, 2025 – Koloma Inc., the world’s leading natural geologic hydrogen company, announced today a USD $23.8 million raise to launch Koloma Australia Pty Ltd, marking the first of what the company projects to be many international exploration efforts and partnerships outside of the United States.

Longtime exploration leader, Dr. Lawrence (Trey) Meckel, will lead Koloma Australia as President. In this role, Meckel will lead a team of the best and brightest to explore throughout the continent, while utilizing Koloma’s data-driven and technology-powered approach.

Koloma Australia was funded primarily by a subset of Koloma investors who see the promise of the Australian market. Among them, MOL Switch LLC, the venture arm of one of the largest shipping companies in the world, joined as an investor in both Koloma Australia and Koloma, Inc. with a desire to help advance natural hydrogen as a resource for carbon-free shipping globally.
