Current Positions:
Operations Geologist
Location: Denver, Colorado or Columbus, Ohio
Ideal Candidate (Requirements):
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a related field
- 7-12 years of oil and gas geological experience, geothermal or mining
- Rig and field experience with drilling data acquisition (e.g. LD/MWD, wireline, coring) in exploration and appraisal wells
- Mudlogging experience is highly desired
- Proficient in log and seismic interpretation and geological modeling software (e.g. Petrel, Decision Space, Kingdom)
Ideal Candidate (Nice to haves):
- Experience with drilling, data acquisition, and production of exploration and appraisal wells throughout US onshore
- Familiarity with igneous rock drilling and mineral identification
- Experience with interpreting geologic data sets (e.g. logs, core, seismic etc.), and drill data analytics
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance for well site geological services (mudlogging, LWD/MWD etc.), real-time data monitoring, and interpretation
- Evaluate shallow drilling hazards utilizing historical drilling data and interpretation of various geological data sets
- Work with geoscience, land, regulatory, and operations teams to design optimal well placement for exploration and development activity
- Participate and contribute to well planning efforts to optimize operational effectiveness, successful data collection, and accurate AFE determination
- Maintain open communication and coordination with the wellsite geologists, on-site personnel, project geologists, petrophysicists, and operational and management teams
- Incumbent will help plan wells, optimize operational strategy for production and data collection, make maps and analyze various data sets during no operations

Engineering Technician
Location: Denver, Colorado
Ideal Candidate (Requirements):
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, preferably engineering or math
- 5-7 years of experience as an Engineering Tech for an oil and gas company
- Experience managing digital well files, reserve databases, financial data, and large engineering datasets
- Experience utilizing software such as Well View/Open Wells, Aries, SCADA, Spotfire, Microsoft Access
- Experience with extracting, correcting and analyzing large amounts of well data
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills with ability to translate complex data into an understandable and meaningful format
Ideal Candidate (Nice to haves):
- Detail orientated with attention to accuracy
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and technical challenges
- Ability to understand business objectives and analyze data in order to make recommendations and generate and improve ideas
Job Responsibilities:
- Data analysis and management support through maintenance of daily well activity, monthly business processes, troubleshooting issues and providing support for KPI data
- Maintain and optimize key performance indicators and dashboards
- Monitor drilling, completion, and other operational performance, AFEs and LOE evaluations
- Work with multidisciplinary team to provide engineering support to a team of engineers and geoscientists

Supply Chain Manager
Location: Denver, Colorado or Columbus, Ohio
Ideal Candidate (Requirements):
- Over 10 years in a supply chain role with an Exploration and Production (E&P) or mining company
- Subject Matter Expert in handling cost effective solutions in contract management, end to end vendor relationships and materials handling
- Involved in past exploration campaigns and able to anticipate need of the organization, considering immediate and long leads and cost management tactics
- Ability to research raw material and service outlooks to guide contractual and purchasing decisions
Ideal Candidate (Nice to haves):
- Experience researching, contacting, and building relationships with vendors in new (sometimes remote) areas of interest
- Ability to create and implement vendor management processes and software
- Assist with establishing strategic partnerships with service providers
- Experience working with technology related tools and laboratory equipment
Job Responsibilities:
- Create strategy surrounding supply chain management and direct the execution of the function
- Strategically source, manage and lead all procurement for a full exploration and operation environment
- Optimize supplier relationships through vendor management experience, including negotiation, MSA documentation and reporting functions
- Work with operations team, manage inventory and site needs

Senior Drilling Engineer
Location: Denver, Colorado
Ideal Candidate (Requirements):
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in drilling engineering and operations
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to create a drilling program from the ground up
- Creative individual, capable of analyzing and solving problems
- Ability to analyze large datasets (geologic, drilling, and cost) and use conclusions to drive exploration improvements
- Advanced safety, well control, equipment, and operational knowledge
- Working knowledge of government regulations and permitting requirements
- Good communicator and a team-first mindset
- Able to travel as needed
Ideal Candidate (Nice to haves):
- Technical experience in material sciences (casing & cement), fluid system chemistry, and geology
- Experience modeling downhole dynamics, rock-bit interactions, and drilling-formation fluid interactions
- Unconventional, horizontal drilling experience. Experience in geothermal and other types of drilling experience also preferred
Job Responsibilities:
- Planning, design, and execution of drilling program
- Includes pad construction, cost estimates, permitting, regulatory compliance, wellbore design, procedures, vendor selection, service contracts, procurement, testing execution, safety controls, drilling operations, and cost control
- Determine best practices to achieve optimum drilling performance and wellbore integrity
- Work with Koloma team members to deliver key objectives for all new drilling projects, including testing execution and new-technology trials
- Perform research and technical studies on well construction in complicated subsurface environments
